Ethari being in a perpetual state of mourning for the past couple of years is devastating me right now

First he lost his closest friends. People he cared for deeply, enough to take care of their child for them when they had left. Willing to go every extra mile to make her happy.

Then he lost his husband, watching the flower sink knowing that he is gone. And to make matters worse the village he was raised in turning to him telling him he must preform the ritual to never see his daughter again, to banish her for the shame she had brought.

And when she comes home you realize you still love her, your husband is dead because of her choices but she is a child. She is his child. But still he needs to let her go or risk banishment, he has to send her away resigning to possibly never visually see her again.

And he’s been sitting in this grief for years in an empty home.

I can’t wait for him to finally have his family back because he deserves it

Something something Runaan got dragged inside from Harrow's balcony during a full moon, and got released from his coin on another full moon

Something something Runaan is picking up where Viren left off with the family healing themes, they've committed different sins and Viren's couldn't be healed past a certain point but maybe Runaan's can

Something something Runaan will never have to meet his torturer now that Viren's dead, and neither will Ethari, and maybe that will help stop the cycle

Something something Runaan still has to face his sins against Katolis while Viren already atoned for his, what could Runaan do that could possibly make up for taking Ezran's father? Marrying his daughter into the royal family of Katolis and giving Ezran a chance at more family? Runaan's grandkids will also be Ezran's niblings, and royal marriages were often made to solidify alliances and promise peace, and Runaan would be so uncomfortable at a large fancy human wedding, pls I wanna see him suffer this fate, Ethari can rescue him into a quiet balcony and Runaan can dangle from it by his ankles for fun or something to destress, nothing to see here, normal peace process
